Kickabout Labour Day Weekend

---|---|---|
We don’t have regular games this coming weekend, but as usual, thanks to the sponsorship of Rhys Williams, we’ll be holding a kickabout on field 6 (north-west) of Potvin-Shefford Park on Saturday, August 31, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Be sure to bring both a white and a very dark jersey. Enjoy. |

Games back at Shefford/Potvin Aug. 10

The Gloucester Hornets’ tournament will not be using Shefford/Potvin Park after all on August 10, 2019, which means the BASL can hold its regular games there rather than at its alternate pitches. We ask that everyone note this on their calendar, including our three season-ticket holders. ;-) |

Indoor 2018-19 league and IG Cup champs
over 1 year ago |

Congratulations to Chris Bradley’s ARGENTEAM for capturing the BASL’s indoor regular-season title for 2018-19, and to Frank Lamontagne’s Black Burners for hauling away the Investors Group Cup on April 25. The Black Burners also won the TEAM Spirit of the League Award for the season, with zero cards handed to them. Well done. Veteran goalkeeper Bodo Jung received the Individual Spirit of the League Award this time around. Hats off, Bodo! |

Outdoor league full, starts Sat., May 25
over 1 year ago |
||
The BASL regular outdoor league is now full, but we’re still gleefully accepting spares (especially keepers) and their expressions of interest for full-time play (just say so in the Special requests section of your registration form). The Alumni Friendlies pilot project is going ahead as well, but we do need more players. If you’d like some relaxed, no-contact pick-up soccer on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m., do sign up. It’s only 100$ for about 18 sessions. Most weeks will be 7v7 or 9v9, so plenty of touches on the ball, just before you head over to the Dominion City Brewery after, right across from the field. ;-) Again, both the Friendlies and the regular league run from May 25 to October 19, with all long weekends off. Door prizes and free second libations at the Blackburn Arms Pub after each game. Footie fun and friends at their best. |
